North East Treasures
Last week my boyfriend took me away for a belated birthday present (very belated since my birthday is in March!) to Beamish Hall to stay in the superior suite. Beamish Hall is situated just outside of the living museum of Beamish, and set in stunning grounds. The staff were fantastic as was the impeccable breakfast served and I can fully recommend dining out at the Stables bar next door.
We also visited the Birds of Prey centre next door to see a demonstration. Where I personally, wanted to take all the owls home to live in my garden.
I can fully recommend spending an afternoon there!
New Limited Edition
I’ve just added a small array of Limited Edition earrings to The Parlor. These stones have been in hiding so I thought it was about time to introduce some pieces in store that won’t be able to be re-created. I love the quality of these vintage glass stones, from the shimmering aurora borealis created in the Czech Republic in the 1970′s to the candy swirls in the glass of Candy Stripe earrings. It’s the 2nd of August and it always makes me slightly sad to realise that the year is going over far quicker than I would like! There’s lots of things brewing in the Parlor pot for the coming weeks so keep a look out on site. For now, the ever popular Victorian Green Heart Earrings take stride and are a clear favourite among my customers.

Charity Shop Find
My love of charity shops comes as no surprise to anyone who knows me, especially my poor boyfriend who comes back from work to find more carrier bags full of ‘treasures’. But these beauties are my favourite recent purchase. I’m slowly turning our yard garden into a (bleak British) summer haven and they’re going to be perfect for home made cocktails.
